Big Fish Teams
Big Fish teams train and compete from October to April before joining their association teams for the spring and summer seasons. We support our multi-sport athletes, so our teams are designed to work with your schedules and provide athletes opportunities to grow at their pace.

Saturday, September 7, 2024 Softball, 9:00am-12:00pm Baseball, 2:00pm-5:00pm Sunday, September 8, 2024 (if necessary) Softball, 8:15am-10:00am Baseball, 10:15am-12:00pm *Tryout date conflict? No problem - we are happy to arrange and alternative date. Please just email us at [email protected]. *Tryout times are general windows based on enrollment Free tryout, but please register below Teams Offered Softball - 14U, 12U Baseball* - 12U, 10U *12U to include 11-12 year olds, 10U to include 9-10 year olds FAQ: How many teams at each level? Philosophy (Important - Please Read)-
These teams may win every game, or lose every game - this program is not about Ws and Ls. Playing time will be shared to the best of our ability and we'll sacrifice Ws for development and arm health. The goal of these teams, without it sounding like a participation medal, is FUN and the ability to try out the things they are doing in training.
We might be idealistic but we're not idiots - it is less fun to take 1000 ground balls during a winter if you don't get to put a uniform on and compete somewhere. So it's really about motivation.
Proposed Schedule - Subject to availability. Dates below were the dates from 2023.

Estimated Team Fee Schedule for 24-25
Baseball: $1450 + uniform fee
Softball: $1450 or $2000* + uniform fee
*If team participates in Dome league, TBD based on interest, fee will be closer to $2000.
$500 deposit due on team acceptance; remaining balance can be paid monthly from October-March
FAQ: Why are team fees "estimated"? + "How will this work with our winter sports?"
At Big Fish we support our multi-sport athletes! A question we have received is "How will these tournaments work with our basketball/hockey/wrestling/etc. schedule?" The true answer is that we won't know until we know! Once teams are formed and winter schedules come out, we'll work with families to determine whether all the one-day tournaments are viable. We will do our best to find fill-in players to make them happen - but if our teams determine that 1-2 of the one-day tournaments don't work, we'll pull that cost out of the fees.
