Our Training Philosophy
At Big Fish Performance, we aim to create an experience that goes far beyond the field. We believe sport is the best avenue for young athletes to practice self-discipline and self-expression, the same qualities that drive success in everyday life. Every moment with us is designed to help players fall in love with the process of improvement, learn how to handle challenges, and develop the mindset to achieve their goals both in baseball and beyond.
Our Big Three
At Big Fish Performance, we have three main pillars that drive our coaches, athletes, and organization.
At the forefront of all our planning and execution is building love for the game. Not in a participation ribbon sort of way, but in a love for improvement way. Making the work fun, setting goals and working towards them, building a positive environment and positive habits. Between coaches, Big Fish Performance as an organization, and the families of our athletes, we believe in a collaboration that helps athletes love their training and love to play.
Feedback, Communication, and Support
|
We believe in training blocks of 6 weeks at a time, and our coach to player ratio for a typical training session will be no more than 1:6, giving our athletes the individual attention they need to help them accomplish their goals.
Our goal is for our athletes to fall in love with the competitive, fun training environment. Falling in love with training, with setting goals and then competing with themselves to reach those goals - that’s a habit that will carry them far beyond athletic success. |
