How it works:
Frequently Asked Questions - We'll add to this as Questions come in! Have a question? Email us at [email protected]
*What is "ball flight technology?"
We are working with a few different companies on bringing in the best option for our facility. If you are familiar with some of the other local cages in the Twin Cities, think of those cages where you hit a ball and look at a screen to see where it goes.
*How do the age and divisions work?
We will run generally with grade configurations. (3-4th grade, 5th-6th grade, 7th and 8th grade, 9th-10th grade, HS Seniors and under.) Players are welcome to participate up - contact us about participating "down" - i.e. a player young enough and playing 12u for the summer could compete with 6th grade teammates. Above all else, this should be kids getting work in while having fun with their friends and teammates.
If we have too few teams for a division, we will combine some divisions and get creative with scoring - think of handicap scores in golf.
*Can our team have a sub? What if we have 5 friends who want to be together?
Yes. If you're missing a hitter for the weekend, you're welcome to notify us and add a player to fill in just like your local friendly bowling league. If you want to have a team bigger than 4, work with us and we can adjust for scoring. If one week you have two hitters because the other kids are off at a hockey tournament...we'll work with that too. Let's hit!
*How will scheduling work?
Each teams scheduler - this could be a player or parent depending on the grade level - will get access to our online scheduling link. We will have time set aside on Friday nights, Saturdays generally from 12-9pm, and Sundays from 10am-3pm to hit. Times are approximate based on how many teams sign up.
*Can I coach my kids during their hour in the cage?
Of course! Dad and Mom coaches unite! We will have one staff member there to monitor, who can do some short-toss, but they will also need to be scoring games. So in most cases our youth teams will need to BYOT - Bring Your Own Tosser. High school athletes are able to self-toss.
*Who will throw the BP/short toss to the kids?
We'll always have one coach in the facility - they will be available to do short toss or feed the machine for the teams who need it, as well as help set up machine use, etc. The only lag time would be if that coach needs to score the other team at the cage. Our older players of course will toss to each other. Otherwise, a parent is welcome to come in to do the tossing.
*How long does each game take?
It will take about 15-20 minutes for your team to complete the game mode portion. The rest of the hour is yours to get your winter reps in.

How it works:
- Gather your team of 3 hitters!
- Your team will be assigned to a division by age/grade level*
- Each week, you'll be matched up with another team in your division
- Schedule a time to come in to hit for an hour with your team between Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday (flexible times - you don't need to be in the facility at the same time as your opponent)
- During that time, you'll get a score from our Big Fish staff and ball flight technology* - highest score between your opponent for the week wins!
- We'll keep track of standings, totals, and have prizes for the winners
